I've been lurkin' and joined for a couple weeks now but I just wanted to say an official "Hi" and say that so far this is a great forum.

The best one I can equate it to are the Ubuntu Forums. A community I've long been involved with. (my nic is "MetalMusicAddict" there but here wouldn't let me have a long name) I even started my own distro. (i'm mostly retired from it now)

From my nic you can guess I'm big into music. I'm also a Dad and (as I suspect a couple of us are) a bit of a geek. \m/

Thanx to the folks that have showed me patience as I get started here. I look forward to learning all I can here and helping others.
 
Welcome to Android Forums, MA.

We try to do our best to keep things on topic and organized from a user standpoint. A good many members have the geek gene, but many are simply looking for help. It's a good mix of noob and guru.

Point of order, links to other non-related sites are considered bad form within the body of the post's 'round these parts -- especially in the intro forums. You are fine putting non-related links in your signature (after 25 posts). No harm, no foul.

If they are gratuitous, it's best to avoid them. We have been battling some spammers of late. Pics are okay as long as they are not adult in nature and respects copyrights. Links to helpful information like mfr. Help pages or detailed instructions are fine.
