Night Driving Mode? -another crusade

I have starred this for you because I understand that for some people, having the night mode is essencial. As a safty issue, this should not be over looked. However, I dont consider the brighness level to be a hinderance while the auto dim option is enabled. It suits me just fine. Also, being able to view the map in day mode while driving at night helps to give me a better visual of the area Im in. As long as the intergration of a night mode option doesnt interfere with keeping day mode on at night, I would be on board. My last gps didnt allow me to toggle between modes and i would prefer always have it on.

i hope they don't make it mandatory if it is ever implemented.... i'm sure it would be a layer option of some sort that is configurable. thanks for the help!
 
I was out last night, and noticed that the newest version of Google Maps now has a night mode version!!!!


Google Maps is only getting better...complain on, my friends, complain on...
