nit registered on network and insert sim access netwok

My "rooted" galaxy light is now saying not registered on network when I try to make a call and when I go to mobile networks it says insert sim access network. Use to be tmobile now on straight talk.how do I fix????

Did you activate it on your new carrier?

I get "not registered on network" messages and loose service quite frequently. It's really frustrating.
