Help Nitro 401D help please...

I found sites that show roms of Arc Mobile Nitro 401D but they don't really explain how to get the phone to be rooted and/or unlocked bootloader. They only show steps on after it's been rooted.
They say Afterlife rom is the recommended rom for this device and I'd like to flash it but I don't really know how to unlock bootloader before rooting it. I've tried Framaroot, SRSroot, and Towelroot but no dice on all of them, I guess one click rooting isn't really the solution to this. Please help

One click rooting won't unlock the bootloader afaik. I think you're gonna need some kind of flash tool for a pc. Does the manufacturer's site offer. Anything like that?

I only need to root but usually you need to have bootloader unlocked to do that but sometimes other programs find a bypass to root the phone without having to unlock bootloader.
Yeah, like I dont really know what the site is. The driver is named "My HTC" but my friend said that it's Arc Mobile and not HTC so I tried not going to the HTCDev site for instructions on unlocking bootloader.
