Root Nitro is starting an ics based eclipse Rom!

I don't know about you guys but I love eclipse Rom and I'm looking forward to seeing what nitro does for our phone.

I wanted to let everyone here know that nitro has announced he's starting a Rom for us so maybe you guys can go over to his forum and thank him to show him that there is a lot of interest. I personally can't wait!

i just flashed it :D

It's in the android is upgrading process now but you can already see his touch because the window for it is black with ics blue text :]

This is a very early build according to nitro though. He said he has much more theming to do.

not sure, I always use rom toolbox pro to sync my contacts and messages and call logs. There are no doubt some bugs with it, but it's basically just an "here's what I've done so far build"

I'm running into some issues with it for sure, but I'm trying to hold out for another update and hopefully it will fix the few minor issues I'm having so far. Mainly my home button is broken and isn't good for anything atm.

BTW, has anyone else had this issue? I seem to be the only one talking about it.

Oh okay. And for the duration that I had it, my home button seemed to be working.
 
everything works good prince. You just arent going to have bluetooth and of course no wireless wifi tethering right now because that is an issue with the unlocked bootloader version of ics and not a fault of any rom. But I havent noticed any real bugs yet.
 
everyone does need to wipe data to flash this though otherwise you are going to get tons of force closes. Nitro has themed about everything to black so you need to wipe data before you flash this

can I still use the Verizon mobile hotspot app for my laptop when no wifi signal is available?

I know this is a noob question, but what exactly do you mean by "wipe data"? I know how to do that for any given app but is sounds like you mean something different.
 
I'm not sure if mobile hotspot app works but it should...I think. You'll have to test it because I can't as I do not have that service.

By wipe data I mean in CWM right before you flash the rom. Just make sure you wipe the data first because you'll get lots of forces closes on apps if you don't.

I think he means wipe data from the CWM menu before you flash

Edit: Nevermind, answered in the post above :D
 
Really liking it so far! For those looking for inverted settings (black background) this is it! Still needs some themeing but everything I've checked works great.

Well, it seems that it isn't just me experiencing problems with my google contacts not being able to be synced. I hope this gets fixed, soon. How do you use ROM toolbox to sync your contacts?

You have to have done a backup of them first like you would with apps. After you've backed them up then you just restore them. I think you need the pro version to do this though. When you are in app manager just press menu and choose batch then from there you can back them up and also restore.
