Like I said they told me it was not affecting every device and that is the mystery. But with my luck I have one of the devices.

After resetting my 4G sim card last night I have not lost My 3G signal at all. I hope this was the fix for this issue.

Just got back from Verizon store. I got a new sim card, and 4g was working fine in store. I assumed everything was back to normal. NOPE. As soon as I left the 4g area, I lost all data again. Time to get VZW on the phone. This is unacceptable.

BTW, I'm in Ohio. Anyone else still experiencing this?

Having same problems here in philadelphia, well actually just outside philly in bucks county area but phone was saying no sim card all morning just shut off pulled sim out rebooted still does not show 3G in the status bar up top but i do have a few bars lit up.

I am watching mine very closely I don't want to get stuck with a device that has signal issues and the possibility of no updates in site.

About 20 minutes after my last post I got 3G back. Man, I really wish we had the new "holiday" exchange policy just in case. I'll be watching it closely also.

I love how people think calling VZW is going to help. If there's an outage, there's an outage. The person on the phone at Verizon isn't going to press a button and make it all better. Sit tight, enjoy your life and wait.

The problem is that people are making assumptions, like bad sim cards or other things.... a call to vzw can confirm that there actually is an outage with a ticket opened.

Most people did NOT know this about the outages in the ar/tx/gulf region yesterday.

That would be great if that was the spirit of callers but mostly it's fix it now, my life depends on being able to check Facebook updates..

I disagree. I depend on my phone for work; not having data available isn't a luxury I can just sit around and wait for (hence the call to VZ). When speaking with Verizon, if they said there was an outage for 3G, it would have solved the problem. However, they said it was a 4G issue. On top of that, only SOME 4G phones were affected. This would leave me to believe the issue could be in my 5-day-old newly released Razr. I understand VZ can't hit a magic button, but they could at least inform the customer what the heck is going on. I've never had data drop for 24+ hours in my OG Droid, so I was immediately concerned it was a hardware issue.

I agree having service is important but my post was directed at people that clearly can see from others here that there is an outage and still feel the need to call.

I'll be straight with you. If you don't ever want data outages with your 4g phone, 3g area or 4g, I suggest waiting on using a 4g phone for now and use a 3g only phone. If there's an lte outage it can affect any "4g" device.

I'm not getting any 4G or 3G service at all in Louisville KY as of tonight 11/18/11 on my Razr. After an hour with tech support no data at all. My wifes Razr still had service, but it appears that hers has no data now. Must be a network issue, I hope!
