i just bought this phone on sunday, and ive yet to get any 4G. i went to a store to ask about it and i was told I live in a 4G area and that the phone was set up correctly. When using "Quick Settings" I see that my data is turned off, but when I go to it Im taken to the "Mobile Netwwork Settings" menu with no option to turn on my LTE. Ive tried the "LTE setting" suggestion ive seen around here and still nothing. any suggestions before i have to either call technical support or send it back?

Turn on mobile data

Toggle airplane mode

Get "anycut" and create a shortcut to lte functionality test. Turn lte to "always on" then "clear always on" then "lte off" then "lte on"

Any one of those should set you right if not try all three in the order presented.
if you still have issues then your device may be malfunctioning and you should swap on warranty.

I tried your suggestion and still no luck. I guess ill contact Metro and see if theyll send me another under warrenty like you said

Are you totally sure that you are in a 4G area? Reason i ask, when i first got my Indulge, the bobo at the metro store told me i was in a 4G area. I wasnt. It was 4 months later that they introduced 4G where i live. Surely you can imagine i was pretty ripped seeing how i spent 3 something on it when it first came out.

Ok try this, if you are familiar with Anycut, Create new shortcut, activity, and i think it is the second DATA in the list. Create shortcut. If you dont have it already, you need to get your SPC code in order to open the DATA shortcut. When open, you will be presented with a list of different crap. Go to LTE MODE. You will see Enable LTE mode, enable CDMA mode or enable Global mode. Choose lte mode first then reboot just to see if it turns on. If not, you can always go back to it and enable either global (which is LTE and CDMA) or just CDMA. Im ADHD so if im confusing you, say so.

tried that too. and I went to Downtown Atlanta where for sure there is 4G...and nothing. I called the Metro PCS tech support and they told me to check in with them in 5 business day to see if its the network, or if my phone is the culprit. I was given a "trouble ID number" that is being used to identify the issue. i doubt its the network or wed be seeing alot of this on the forums. it might just be i got a dud.

Its got to be a hardware issue... be careful, they will try to jerk you around until your warranty is expired... I would go to a corporate store and demand an exchange.
