Help no 4g service?

3 day old razr being used in Portland, Oregon. I've yet to see 4g come on. Yes I have it set to auto cdma/lte and yes, Portland shows 4g available on the map.

Called tech support and they suggested driving to some other locations its been pretty much all over the west side of town) and if still no 4g, head to the store.

Just wondering if anyone else has had this experience?

Just sounds like you don't have 4G right where you are. Sometimes that's just how it is. Try doing like they suggested and go to the other side of town, and if that doesn't work then it indeed could be an issue with your phone.

Here in boston; I normally leave 4g off in the office (i'm on wifi); but for kicks i turned it on (and wifi off) after about a minute - actually closer to 20 seconds I had a usable (and fast) connection.

Of course different part of the country might have different issues.

Verizon lists my area as 4g on the map, but it is spotty. It is getting better. For some reason after I set up a smart setting to enable data from 7-6 the connection has been fantastic. Probably just a cooincidence, but it is working for me.
