No Audio with some mkv and avi

hi,
I have an M9+ Amlogic S905 64bit Quad-core Android 5.1 tv box.
I have files on an external usb hard drive. there is no audio with all mkv and avi files which have attached codec, when they are played using the default android movie player.
however they are fine if played through kodi.
I would like to get them working using the movie player.
Can anyone suggest a solution?

when I try to install moliplayer from playstore - this item is not compatable with your device - Amlogic on AOSP on P207

Kodi has the ability to transcode a variety of audio streams, this is probably why you can play in in Kodi but not in the movie player. You could try to sideload the moliplayer app if you want to try that route.

One reason is that the audio codec in the video is not supported, in this case, we may use iDealshare VideoGo to convert to the video in supported audio codec.

Maybe your Android device doesn't support the audio parameters like codec, sample rate, channel, and bitrate in MKV and AVI. Faced with this, you could use Joyoshare Video Joiner to help you. It is an all-in-one program that allows you to convert your MKV and AVI file to the format that your device is compatible with. If you are professional enough, you can manually adjust the parameters with it.
