Help No audio

My problem started last week, where my phone won't play videos or audio - and the camera application crashes when I try to record a video, likewise for the soundrecorder and phone calls.

I've already factory reset my device twice, disabled probable apps that could cause this issue and I've cleared the cache partition


The only thing I can think of is removing the battery, which I've yet to do due to lack of a small screwdriver and fear I'd damage something along the way


Any solutions would be much appreciated.


Note:this happened before, about a month ago, it wouldn't work for a whole day, and right before performing a factory reset later in the day I decided to restart it just for the hell of it and it worked.

Does it happen in safe mode (which disables all user-installed apps)?

Though if it happens immediately after a reset (before you have restored anything) then it's likely either system software or hardware. I assume you'd have mentioned if you'd had a system update recently, or if you have modified the phone software (root etc). And I guess you've tried the trivial forced restart (press and hold power button until it restarts)?
