Help No auto rotating.

Hi all.

My One X has developed a fault. The screen will not auto rotate. The auto rotate is on and I have tried to re-calibrate but it wouldn't work. I also tried in safe mode but that didn't work either. :(

So it seems it will be going back to HTC. I wouldn't mind but I've only had it back a couple of weeks after the screen decided to completely stop working.

Anybody else had this problem??

Cheers

Matt

Yep, I had one replaced because of the exact same issue. It was a common problem on the earlier models, but I've not head of it being an issue for a while.

What does your serial number start with? Did they replace your handset the first time or just repair the screen?

They repaired the screen problem.

My serial starts SH24.

I think it is an early model as I also had the Wifi signal strength issue. But this was sorted the same time as the screen.

I had the exact same issue. Ended up taking to T-Mobile shop. They said it could be a six week fix. It actually took 8 days. They changed the screen and battery and now all works fine. The sooner you bite the bullet and get it sent away the sooner you will get it back...and yes auto rotate is an essential function which you miss when it's not there. Good luck!
