Help No battery charging indicator light?

Hi all,

I just bought the Mesmerize and am wondering about the lack of a battery charging indicator light. On all of my previous phones, if I turned the phone off and plugged it in for charging, there would be a light on the phone that would remain lit until the battery was fully charged. I am in the middle of my first full charging, and as far as I can tell, there is no such light on the Mesmerize. So how am I supposed to know when the battery is fully charged without repeatedly turning the phone on over a multi-hour period to see if it's still charging? When it's fully charged, will there be a message on the screen indicating that it's done?

The phone will beep when charging is completed and a message will be displayed on the screen as well. The message won't be visible until you push the power button to turn the screen on though. There may be an app in the market though that can display a message without having to turn the screen on.

The screen will indicate briefly what the charging status is when you press the power key. It shuts itself off after a period of inactivity. As stated previously, it will beep when fully charged.
