Help No Battery Fully Charged Notification

akulaji

Lurker
I just purchased a Verizon Galaxy S3 the other day and have a question about battery charge notifications. I previously had a Fascinate, and the phone would always give me a notification when the battery was fully charged (sound and on screen telling me to unplug the phone). From what I've read, my S3 should be doing the same, but it doesn't. When the battery charges back up to 100% it continues to say that it's charging (little icon with a lightening bolt), and the red LED is still on. Is this normal? Is there no notification on the Verizon phone when it's reached a full charge?

I just want to make sure it's functioning properly and that I don't have a battery/charging issue.

Thanks for the advice!

The LED light will turn green when it gets to 100%
So, if it doesn't turn green I should assume there is a problem with the notifications or charging? The battery will read that it's at 100% on the lock screen and in the device status, but I've never seen a green light or gotten a sound or visual notification. It should turn green when it hits 100% and not after it's been at 100% for a certain amount of time correct?

when its done it says something like battery is fully charged, unplug, and the battery doesnt have the bolt thing in it, i dont know about the led color though
