No Birther thread?

SO LET ME ASK AGAIN: Suppose it were proven that Obama was not born here. No doubt about it whatsoever..

What the heck do you think would happen next?

A big kerfluffle in the media and across the internet, 2% of which are addressing the new state of current affairs: where heads roll at the FBI and elsewhere for background check failures, re-organizations of political alliances at light speeds, Joe Biden being sworn in by the CJotSCOTUS, and a 6 month hand-wringing while the Senate argues over who has jurisdiction for the follow-on spanking.

In other news, I'll gain a full pound and a half just on popcorn. :D

Nothing? I mean technically it should invalidate anything with his signature on it....but do you think the senate and congress are going to put in over time to correct the problem this creates? Not likely? I guess what I'm saying is....I have no clue. I suppose it would have a crazy effect on world politics though.

What if it was proven that unicorns were real and that they flew around and crapped rainbows? What would happen next?

Sure, this whole thing could be a giant conspiracy, but I doubt it. Too complex of an explanation.
Got to love the "birthers"...

Makes you wonder if they would have even started all of this if Obama was a white guy.

I personally doubt it, I bet most "birthers" wouldn't mind if Gov. Schwarzenegger became President.

The whole political situation in America is sad.

I think it has more to do about which political views he has, not his color. Also he's just as white as he is black.

Not according to Al Sharpton. Because he doesn't have slaves in his family, he ain't black enough.

...and no, I'm not making this up.
Good ol al probably said that because obama wouldnt support any of his causes.

Actually they would have to undo everything he's done, or they could themselves face jail time...they can't just be "lazy" and let it go by the waste side.

Do I think he was born in the US? Yes. Do I think he's a horrible president? Yes. Do I think he's a Muslim? No. Do I think that he's unqualified to be the leader of the free world....does a bear shit in the woods?

Sigh, if he was not born in the usa, he would still be president. Because he could have been born anywhere in the world, and still be president. I wish someone would read the law.

US code Title 8 Section 1401 defines the following as people who are "citizens of the United States at birth:"
  • Anyone born inside the United States *
  • Any Indian or Eskimo born in the United States, provided being a citizen of the U.S. does not impair the person's status as a citizen of the tribe
  • Any one born outside the United States, both of whose parents are citizens of the U.S., as long as one parent has lived in the U.S.
  • Any one born outside the United States, if one parent is a citizen and lived in the U.S. for at least one year and the other parent is a U.S. national
  • Any one born in a U.S. possession, if one parent is a citizen and lived in the U.S. for at least one year
  • Any one found in the U.S. under the age of five, whose parentage cannot be determined, as long as proof of non-citizenship is not provided by age 21
  • Any one born outside the United States, if one parent is an alien and as long as the other parent is a citizen of the U.S. who lived in the U.S. for at least five years (with military and diplomatic service included in this time)
  • A final, historical condition: a person born before 5/24/1934 of an alien father and a U.S. citizen mother who has lived in the U.S.
Honestly, tell me, is mother was born in the usa, and lived here most of her life. Which means out of the 8 ways he could be considered a natural born citizen, he could honestly choose 5 of the 8 ways, and still be legally president.
