No Call Waiting?

Hello!

I've had my Desire over a month now, we've had some teething problems but this is the most consistent one - there's no call waiting notification on my phone. I've missed about 3 calls and several texts while in another call, but my phone doesn't give me any indication that there is something else going on.

Some cursory googling found that other people have had their Desire make weird noises instead of a call waiting tone, but mine has nothing at all.

Anyone have this happen to them or any ideas how to fix it? Although I'm fairly happy around technology I'm not too keen to root my phone, what with warranties and insurance and stuff.

Mine does this too. There is a call waiting app in the market you can use.

Have you enabled or got enabled call waiting in settings?

I can confirm that call waiting does work on my Desire. Never had a missed call yet.
As mentioned above, make sure it's enabled in your settings.
Menu, settings, Call, Additional settings, check "Call waiting"

I've enabled this, but it doesn't work. I don't think I even got a beep. I've no idea if anything visual occurs, because when I'm on a call... I've the phone to my ear!

When i go there my Phone says: "Call settings error: Network or SIM card error". I change my SIM into my old nokia e71, everything works perfekt. My provider tells me everything is OK and even changed the SIM.

Any ideas?

Wow I must have forgotten to subscribe to this thread, sorry!

Yes, call waiting is enabled but absolutely nothing happens, nothing audio or visual or anything. Not a huge deal but irritating when it matters, hopefully it'll get fixed with the updates.
