No Cell service at all

Im currently going to college in upstate NY and my Thunderbolt has no cell service at all. My roommate has an iphone 4 on Verizon and he has no service, and his gf has an LG Ally and she has no service. Now im hearing everyone in my dorm who has Verizon doesnt have service. Is anyone else experiencing this.

Edit: I forgot to say i usually have full service and a strong 3G signal.

Edit #2: Well we just got our service back. Very weird, they must have been messing with one of the towers. That was very strange.

Where in NY are you? I'm near Albany and lost service for a few minutes about an hour ago. It's been fine since it came back...

I'm going to school in Canton. It's about 4 hours from Albany. It's back up and running now.

My family lives in Kempner, Texas and we lost ours for a few minutes. Back now. but Its strange.
