"No command" error while updating

Phone: LG G6

So i've had 8.0 for a while now and i havent experienced any issues until now.
A couple of days ago my phone said there was a security update so it downloaded it as normal. After it downloaded i went to install it: my phone got to about 20% on the 'preparing to install' page before restarting and having the 'no command' screen pop up (where the android guy is lying down with the red triangle with an exclmation mark in it with no command text underneath).
I've tried again and the same thing happend, so i looked up ways to solve it but nothing has worked so far.
Now i've updated with 8.0 just fine before but for some reason this time it decided to not work.

I dont do any development, debugging or have even rooted my phone. Execpt for the abd command to get the app 'naptime' to work.

If anyone knows something i can try or a fix that'd be great.

As of this moment, is your phone usable? Boots up fine and you can use it but when you try to update it, this error arises?

Yup, perfectly usable in everyway, boots up, runs and restarts no problem. Its only when trying to update the error shows up. Cant for the life of me figure out why.

Hmm, odd.
The only thing I can think of is that the downloaded update is corrupt in some way.
Which leads me to start thinking of ways to remove that downloaded update, and somehow get the device to redownload/install it.

I'd have to google that to be honest, if that is indeed the issue.
Unless someone else has another idea

Edit: or just thought of this, can you undo that adb command? Just throwing that out here to see if that could be the issue.

I think Mikestony may be on the right track with corrupt download. From what I remember the update file is downloaded to either /cache or /data/cache, but you need root to remove the update through adb.

Now you can try to go into phone settings/storage and deleting cache from there, but I don't know if that will delete the update file assuming it's even there. Worth a shot though.
