When it shows "no command", press and hold the VOL UP key for 10-15 seconds. While still holding the VOL UP key tap and release the POWER key. It will display additional menu options.

I am using moto G phone and yesterday when i was clicking a picture my phone got stuck when i tired to reboot the phone notification light goes off after few minutes and the screen lights on with battery level as 0%. After sometime Motorola logo and "powered by android" appears with a small vibration on the handset. Just logo, not even that boot animation comes. Nothing else. And tried pressing down volume with plugging it to wall charger, nothing comes. The only thing so far on the screen is Motorola Logo.

I even tried the factory reset but its of no use.. Please help me .

This is actually a forum for the Motorola Moto G. I'm not familiar with your phone. The methods of getting into recovery are similar, but different for each device. You're going to have to find out how to do it for your device.

Hola! I got the same problem too. How did you solve it?

Hey guys & gals,

This morning my Verizon Moto G was finally updated to 5.1. So, I thought I should clear cache partition like always do after updating, but this method didn't work.

Instead, I tried this new method I found over the internet and worked.

  1. press and hold power button for about 2-3 seconds.
  2. without releasing power button, press volume up button and release the volume up button.
  3. release the power button button.

hi guys,

Same problem here, I've tried all ways what sbdc003 said, but whenever i reboot my device it always appear the resting android with red triangle (rooted phone).

Thanks in advance!

I did the VOL UP key choice you gave me but then it went into a firmware update and it took too long so i unplugged my USB connection and it still wasn't doing anything but now everytime i try VOL UP it doesn't do anything. It stays on "no command"

my phone battery is non-removable.. so what to do?? same problem to me too... it always restarts ownself and i tried your recovery tips. but i m not being able to open recovery option in my android.. help please

Welcome to Android Forums.

It depends on which Phone you have and which version of Android you are using.

It used to be ... hold the Volume Up and tap Power and release Volume Up
It was changed to ... hold Power and tap Volume Up and release Power

The timing of the sequence is challenging. After you do it once it is never as difficult.

If you continue to be unsuccessful ... take it to where you bought it and have them show you how to do it.

Exactly what toot-ed phone are you using?

When that is known we can move your question to the appropriate sub-forum where other users may be able to help you.

thanks.. but i need answer fast.. please consult with much known developers
What Thom was trying to tell you is that we need a lot more info so that we can help you. This forum is for the Moto G, what phone is yours? What did you do to brick your phone? You say it's rooted, but do you have the stock recovery or is it a custom recovery? Until you give that and much more information we can't help you; it doesn't matter how fast you think you need that help.

... and each model of phone is unique when the subject is root-ing. Some things that works perfectly on one model of phone will never work on another model of phone.

The best place to find information here is in the root sub-forum of the forum dedicated to your phone.

The question is ... exactly what model of phone are you using and what version of android?

... Thom
