Help no DATA while roaming?

I recently discovered that I am not able to use any video or audio based apps that require DATA. ( ie: Netflix, HULU, IheartRadio, Pandora, etc.) I live in south eastern WI, but regularly travel to northern WI, and upper Michigan, where US Cellular is the dominate cell provider. When my RAZR "roams" onto their network I experience the above stated problem, even though it shows full 3G signal (roaming). I have set the phone to "home only" network to see if this remedied the problem, but then I got bumped down to 1X signal only.

When I launch such apps, I get an error message saying "no network available"
Yet the web browser and "Maps" still work, but are real slow.

Any one know of a way to work around this, or am I out of service until I get a true VZW tower?

Go into "Settings", then "Data Manager", select "Global data roaming access", and choose "Allow access for all trips".

checked it, and it was enabled, and data saver is off.
