Help No DCIM Folder On Motorola CD on Mac

I have lots of photos in my Droid2 Gallery, but I do not see a DCIM folder on the Motorola CD on my Mac desktop. I am trying to download photos via USB cable to my Mac.

The CD that appears contains drivers for PC.

You have to connect to the mac as mass storage device. The DCIM folder is on the SD card that will mount on your desktop.

Make sure when you are done to drag the SD card's icon to the trash or use the eject command. AND on the Droid, change Mass Storage Device to Charge Only. This ensures that the SD card un-mounts properly...

Your comment caught my attention. I have a D2 that I keep to stream music from my PC using DLNA app. I like it the best. But I also have a fully functional Droid Charge which I use for the phone and I use Auto Galaxy to stream music to my phone when away from home over the 3/4G. (I just do not want all the music files on my phone.)

Last weekend, I could not get anything to work on the Charge as far as transferring files to the SD card from the AllShare app. So I decided to transfer one .mov file to the phone via PC USB hook up, so I could test an app, Rocket Player, and see if it played the .mov file.

Well the computer did not see my Charge. It did have a Drive mounted like the OP describes and it had a Pop Up that said Verizon wanted to install files so my computer could recognize the Charge. I allowed it to install. Went thru that cycle about three times before I started messing with the Charge.

I went into settings under SD card & storage and had two choices Mount the SD or Erase the SD. So I mounted it. Computer still did not see it. Back to the phone under USB settings, and changed it to Ask Me each time.

Now computer see's the SD card and I was able to transfer a .mov file to the phone.

Now when I plug my phone into wall charger it asks me if I want media player or mass storage. I just hit the x or back button and ignore it because I fear if I choose something I will brick the phone.

The phone works like a charm, no problems other than this as described. I mostly transfer between the phone and computer using AllShare or an app Remote Web Server.

Any ideas about what this problem with connecting to the Computer via USB is?
