No delete option in my Gallery ..why?

Hi i am having troubles deleting a picture in my gallery.. it seems the delete option (little rubbish bin) is nowhere to be found so i cant delete anything. Does any1 know why this could be and how i can delete pictures

Try tapping and holding the picture you want to delete. Small tick box should appear in the right bottom of the pictures.Tick the ones you want to delete. The delete option should be visible then. Watch out that you do not delete a folder though. You can loose a batch of pics.
