Help No disable option showing in Apps

Newbie
I've just got my shiny new HTC One X from Orange UK today so have started loading all my apps on it.

I already purchased Soundhound Infinity (the sideways figure-of-eight) so want to use that version instead of the included one.

I've been told that if I want to hide the built-in version I need to go to Apps, click on Soundhound and then click on the disable button.

When I go in there I do not have a disable button. Any Idead what is going on? Or am I doing it wrong?

I know the phone know to use the Infinity version as clicking on the buit-in one pops up a message saying "Switching to Sound Hound Infinity".

My software version is 1.29.061.11 if that helps.

Same software version as me, and I can't see the disable option either (I've a similar problem with Tune In/Tune In Pro). I know some apps can't be disabled so I'm guessing Soundhound is one of them.

Unfortunately, this won't disable the notification from Play Store if there a new update of SoundHound (or of other disabled preinstalled apps) :(
... or even worse, if you haven't unchecked automatically update.

Well it's better than nothing though, just a shame the notification from Play Store can't be disabled for it.

I can live with this.

Fortunately an update of SoundHound was available today :D

And so, I've to correct myself (a little) : :p
An update of a disabled app will appear in Play Store, My Apps ... but not as notification in the list of Updates, only in alphabetical order with the other apps :)

So, it won't annoy you :)
