Help No download mode gt-n7100

I just traded to get this phone. Noticed a lot of the apps were Chinese. Did a factory reset, whole phone went Chinese on me. Finally got English, but some Chinese here and there.

So, I try to get in dl mode, just get the dead android with red triangle and factory recovery. No options do anything but reboot.

Phone turns on, operates, but can't get into dl mode.

Also, imei on phone don't match in settings about phone.

Also, the *#197xxxxxx# mode to unlock does nothing.

I think it got a bad flash and dinked up my boot loader.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I think you got a counterfeit phone and there's very little you can do to fix it. You can try flashing something like Cyanogen or some other ROM you like.

And rule out that it just had a bad flash?



Verified-mkt6577 aka fake.... Still works, just not the real deal.. Oh well.. Thanks for the input.
