no email after ICS

I'm not getting any of my emails from my regular comcast email account, nor is it able to send emails.
Did a test from the phone and it is just sitting there.
When I open the email, I get a notice at the bottom of the screen that says,
Connection problem (Comcast)

I don't use gmail at all or yahoo mail.

I looked in the settings and the account is still there, but there is one item that seems werid.
The box that says Sync over Wi-Fi only is checked.
Is this right?

I also saw that, but it seems to be mostly for google email

I had to uninstall and reinstall my email for it to work properly.

OK, just got through talking to a verizon tech. He had me change the incoming and outgoing ports.
As soon as that was done all my emails for 2 days came in.
Success!!!

The tech had me change the incoming port # to 995 and the outgoing port# to 465

Also he had me go into moble network settings and hit the Allow access for all trips.
It was set to Deny data roaming access.

I am receiving but not able to send since ICS. My Comcast outgoing port is 587 but the phone keeps giving me a Couldn't Finish, appropriate certificate is not installed message. When I change both the phone and outgoing port to 465 I can't send email from the computer or phone. Not sure what the next step is except to uninstall account and add back.

I had good luck today by calling verizon and talking to one of their phone support people.
