Help No frills MP3 player for Tablet

I want a no frills MP3 player that will:

- close the app when the song is done and never, ever automatically start the same or another song
- never create or try to play a playlist
- never download album art
- never check for updates
- never automatically do "helpful" things, just play 1 song and QUIT.
- show standard controls: PAUSE, PLAY, STOP, GO TO BEGINNING

Free would be nice.

Any recommendations?

That is a very unusual requirement. I've never heard of an app that does that.

Closest I can think of - and no, it doesn't match your list of wants exactly - is the built-in audio player in X-plore File Manager.



You can hit home to leave it and it still plays but no nothing except one song as you select. No nuisances from a music player because it's a file manager.

No, it won't close when the song is done.

... I've never heard of an app that does that.

Yah...I'm thinking of finding some free source code modifying it and compiling. It's been YEARS since I've done any programming. I haven't the fogiest on how to start.
