Sync is off. I have that problem now on my phone I just retired. Turn it back on in settings and hopefully it will stay on. :thumbup:

That shouldn't be my problem because I'm getting new emails; just don't get a notification from the phone letting me know that I have new email. I did check the sync checkbox in Gmail and it is checked. I unckecked it and re-checked; so we will see.
Oh, wait, I see that if you go into Manage Labels, there's another dam option in there stating syncing was off. Seems redundant. Hopefully this should fix the problem.

Well I was wrong yesterday. None of that worked yesterday. I flipped several checkbox's on and off, rebooted, back on and off. None of that worked. However, after a hard reset, I was immediately getting the Gmail notifications. Just sucks I had to reset the phone to get it working. Maybe the reset will also fix some of the other minor bugs I've seen.

Did you try turning sync on in the phone's phone settings? If not, that's probably why the reset worked.

Yes, that was the first obvious setting to check.

Well, I'm glad it's working now. Gadgets can be a headache at times.

Or go into gmail settings, pick acct, and make sure notifications is toggled?
Too late now, but something to think about in the future.

Looks like it's been a problem because the latest gmail update was supposed to address it.
