Help No home screen indicator

My wife and I just got new Samsung J3 phones. Her phone has a home screen indicator (house outline), but mine does not. I cannot get to the menu setting to add additional home screens. Yes, it's a little thing, but I'd like to correct it. I've done a soft reboot, and suspect a reset is in order. Running v. 6.0.1, not rooted.

Try the following steps below to resolve your issue.

1. Touch and hold an empty area on a home screen.
2. Tap Widgets (located at the bottom).
3. Tap and hold a widget and drag to the preferred home screen.
   
   
   For the widget to be successfully added, there must be sufficient space within the selected home screen.
4. If applicable, select additional options to activate the widget.
   
   
   Options vary depending upon the type of widget.

IF the above does not work, you may have to reset it to give it a fresh slap in the face

Unfortunately, your suggestion didn't work. I'm trying to avoid a hard reset, but may have to do so. Thanks for the response.
