hey guys,

I am from india..i purchased galaxy s2 approximately a year ago and now that i was bored of touch wiz and other third party home launchers..i decided to root and as expected it went wrong..

i got the super user access, but i cannot flash any ROM on it as it gives the signature error(3e)..i am not sure how to fix this..

Please help me out geniuses..

Rooting and flashing a ROM are different things. What ROM are you trying to flash and how are you flashing it?
 
hey guys thanks a ton for replies..
so i rooted using the new galaxy root method using the batch file...and i was planning on flashing the resurrection remix rom(1.2)..
i would look into these threads and will try to educate myself more..
and will keep updating here..
i also forgot to add that the dummy guide asks to me to jot down information about the phone. for example the kernel that it had etc.
Unfortunately i did not. can i reroot it using the dummies guide ?
do the numbers change after rooting at all ?
sorry if i am being a complete noob.

No need to apologise, its what we're here for.
You can still use the dummies guide. Go into settings, about phone and scroll down to the bottom and see what it says under build number. You then just need to use the cfroot kernel which its closest to that.

You will then have a fully rooted phone with cwm recovery which will let you flash roms.
 
so i rooted my phone using cfroot and flashed resurrection rom..voila...everything works..
