Help No Internet Connect Even After Battery Pull / Reboot

So this morning when I went off to work I tried to check traffic. My H+ was all greyed out. I had full bars, just not blue bars. I did an airplane mode on/off, nothing... My wife sitting next to me on Verizon had full service.

Did a few hard boots/battery pulls, still nothing. But full service.

I've changed nothing on this phone for months, and I need to tether with it for work.

Any suggestions?

I assume you are on AT&T. Have you called them to verify they are not having a data outage in your area?

The BLUE means there is an active internet connection over the radio signal. Sometimes carriers have outages where the towers are working, but the backhaul to the internet is down. Think of it if your home internet connection goes down, but you can still get 5 bars of WiFi connected to your home WiFi router.

Also, you say you are tethering it for work, can I assume you are paying for a tethering account and not using one of the hacks to get "Free" tethering? Because AT&T is catching and shutting down people for doing that.

Called them and they are having outages in my area, but no ETA. If you're in the Baltimore/DC Metro area, and are having issues, this is why.

As much as I hate dealing with AT&T on the phone, sometimes a quick call to 611 is the fastest way to get the right answer.
