I get everything off iTunes to my One X. Just right click on a song (while under itunes)and show in windows explorer. Drag and copy whatever songs u want from that file to your music file on your S3. All songs will transfer and be tagged just how they are in iTunes.
You have to install it on your computer. After you do it should automatically find your iTunes playlists and upload all of your music to the cloud, you might just have to tell it where to look. Then it syncs with your phone, it's pretty easy actually.
I personally like iTunes and Mediamonkey for managing music. Google Play is actually MUCH slower than iTunes because it is web based and doesn't have nearly as many capabilities. You can make a playlist but that's about it.
iTunes was one of the main reason I switched from my Iphone 3GS to Android in the first place. I hated having to do everything through it. Drag and drop ftw!
