Root No keyboard after restore... help please

I had previously rooted my LG Connect 4G on the Metro PCS service. I let my friend borrow it for awhile and she restored the phone via the built in settings. Now the phone is restored but there is no Input Method. Everything works except there is no keyboard so I am unable to do anything. I tried to to the restore via the settings on the phone but still no luck. Any of you know what I can do. Thanks!

I forgot to mention that I even took it to Metro and the guy there said he could flash it or do a factory reset via the computer and that didn't work either.

What happens when you long press in a text entry field and choose "input method"?

You can try and login in to the play store from a PC and push a keyboard app to the phone. Then when you select something to type it should give you the option to select the keyboard app.

how would i push an app to the phone. do you mind providing more details? i just plugged in my phone to my pc and nothing happens.

You don't have to plug your phone in to your PC. Log into the Play Store (on your computer), find a keyboard app, then click install (on the web page). A window should pop up (again on your computer) with your phone indicated (if you've had more than one phone, they might all show, select the one you need to) then hit install. The app will be 'pushed' over the air waves from the play store to your phone.

You need a keyboard to purchase a keyboard? LOL If you're logged into play store with you're phone you can use voice to get a keyboard too...
