As it seems likely there will be no Android Lollipop for my Note 2, I looked for alternatives to give my phone a new look. I read an article (cant remember where..sorry), about "launchers" in general and Apex Launcher in particular. I downloaded the Apex Launcher app from Google Play and also the Lollipop HD theme pack.
It took me a few hours of playing around and I'm pleased to say I have a Note 2 that looks pretty Lollipop'ish to me. All for free..happy days, give it a try.
