No more headphones?

Until the can build it into a phone we'll still need headphones. I was impressed by the USB-C ear buds that came with my S20. I wonder if anyone makes over-the-ear headphones with a USB-C plug?

To be honest, I choose quality over availability, so I have been buying headphones separately for many years. I need good sound, I love listening to music.

Me too! I don't know many people who still rely on wired headphones or earbuds if they can afford a decent wireless set. Why should manufacturers ship every single phone with earbuds, anyway? Can't people just carry over one set from phone to phone?

Bluetooth headphones have become so good that I can't imagine anyone but audiophile purists insisting on wired headphones. I have the Sony WH-1000xm4 headset and it's incredible: not only for the sound quality but noise canceling. For the gym, I use Sony's WF-1000xm3 earbuds. Again, the music quality is fantastic and the noise canceling is so good I can barely hear myself think.

I'm a fan of pioneer (for a long time I used rayz series) and now I have marshall's

While a lot of people would tell you to get the Bose QuietComfort II or even the NoiseCancelling NC-700 headphones, I had both... and both just got on my nerves because of the clunky controls. I switched to the Sony WH-1000xm3 and was blown away - and pre-ordered the WH-1000xm4 as soon as they were announced. That's what I'm using now, and I can recommend them with no reservation. The sound quality is amazing (although it can't be any better than your source): in fact these headphones are capable of Hi-Res Audio. The controls are simple; the noise cancellation is uncanny.
