Help No more notification sound after froyo

Ever since i manually updated to FRF50, ive never heard anymore phone notification sound whenever i boot up, shut down, or plug into USB. It always does that back in android 2.1. But i have never heard it since i got froyo. Is it supposed to be like this?
 
Yeah, the bootup, shutdown and USB notification sounds were annoying as all hell in 2.1 (and earlier).

They turned them off in 2.2. Not sure if you can turn them on, but not sure WHY anyone would.
 
I dont miss it either, its not a MUST HAVE feature for me. But its kinda nice to get confirmations at times.
 
i hated when i shut down my phone in a public place and it made that LOUD beeping sound. lol. everyone looked. happened to me in court
