No more s-note?!?!?

Hi all,

I've read that the Note 3 will no longer support S-note pop up; what I mean is, you know how on the Note 2, you can set it so that upon removal of the S-pen, a note page automatically pops up, allowing you to take notes, doodle or whatever. To me, that's how I like to have it set. Anyhow, is this true? Can any members that already have their Note 3 please confirm/deny this? Thanks in advance for any feedback!

Thank you MISS DIVA for the info & link. Glad to see the S-note is still kicking about. One thing bothers me though, and yes I am petty like that, is the S-note on the Note 3, while having a bunch of new cool features, is no longer full screen! Why the freak would Samsung change that?!?! Blah, I'm still getting the 3, but that minor change irks me.

The action wheel opens up automatically when you take out the pen, just choose action memo.
With regards to full screen, the size of the window is resizeable so you can make it full screen if you wish, but having it this way means notes can be taken from a website or email etc.

I should think the double-tap on the screen with the pen would be a lot faster than trying to start the Quick Action menu and then the Action Memo... opens it right up on the screen :)

There actually is a real problem with s note on note 3. On the note 2 you could have it open automatically with the double tap, but on the N3 only the action memo does this, and action memo does not sync automatically to Evernote, does not permit you to add a title, and does not permit you to add a second page. I have looked, and there is no way to add s note to the Air Command or have it open automatically. It's really quite strange and very disappointing, they created this wonderful Evernote auto sync, and then made S Note much more difficult to get to.

I am using Nova Launcher. You can create gestures. I disabled the wheel actually myself when taking out the pen. What I did do was creating a gesture. In my case it is "one finger swipe up". That gesture can be assigned to a task or app etc. So I take out the pen, swipe it up once on the screen and there you go, S-Note opens ready to go :)

I've been especially pleased with S_Notes as implemented on my Note 3. I spent just a few days learning & acclimating to it, then suddenly I was fast and very smooth. Besides the gorgeous large display, it's the dual window, S_Pen combo that really makes the Note 3, the enjoyable smartphone it is.

I don't disagree with anything that you are saying. I'm just frustrated that with all this good stuff they remove the easier access that use to be available
