Root No Mtp.

I cannot seems to get my PC to recognize the device under mtp for file transfer. I used Wugfresh's tool kit to remove all drivers and usbdeview has no Google devices. Connect with MTP enabled and no auto configure. Running DU ROM and a Win 8.1 PC.
Nevermind, works on my other laptop. Wierd though? I got it to autodetect and start to install but it hung up. I'll try again later when I have some time.

Likely an issue with Win 8.1

Yeah, so right Hitman. Windows 8.1 has a lot of USB issues. Some I was able to deal with while others are just a mystery.............lol.

For instance.......my 8.1 sees my N5 as both a MTP and PTP device. It sees my N7 2013 as only a PTP device no matter what I do.

However, both devices are seen as ADB. So I am able to unlock, root, and Rom both devices. Go figure :)

OK. It's not just me then. These drivers almost seem like a one time use for me. Seems like I have to remove and restart, then reinstall the drivers. All I have is two 8.1 laptops. I had to use my gdrive just to copy some mp3's

I have win7 64 and I have problems getting my phone to show up. I have to unplug and replug several times. This only happens with my N5. All other devices I've ever plugged into this computer, same cords, show up fine in 'my computer'.

That said, some cords don't work with my phone for usb transfer. They only work for charging.

Drivers, drivers, and drivers. That's why.
