notification bar dissapeared on my htc

I think we'll need more information in order to answer this, e.g. what did you do before it happened?
Are you using a third party launcher? Some of these can hide the notification bar, and you may have inadvertently activated that function.
I assume that rebooting doesn't fix it, but it's always worth a go.
