Help No Notification For Incoming Texts

I have installed a custom ROM and now don't receive the red flashing led notification for new text messages. I'm sure I used to with the stock ROM. Can't find it in settings.


This is the custom ROM I'm using:

Any help much appreciated.

It should be in the message apps settings.

If you can't make that work, try a third party messaging app (I've used Chomp, Handcent, Pansi at one time or another. Go SMS too, but that was getting very cluttered and spammy when I moved away from it).

I use Handcent and there is a setting for this. Mine is set for the LED notification but it still doesn't work.

Interesting. I've never used that ROM, and my Desire is well retired now, so can't say whether it's a ROM problem. Does anyone else in the ROM thread mention the same issue?

You could nandroid, try another ROM, and see whether the problem goes away. I think it worked for me with MildWild's Oxygen based ROM, but as I say I never used the CM version.
