The notification light on my Xperia Z works only when the handset is charging. It does not work for missed calls, emails or messages.
Apparently, this seems to be a widespread issue.
Doing some research, I found that a few users claim that a factory reset does the trick, but only after you have unticked "Backup my data" and Automatic Restore" in "Backup and Reset". This means that you have to re-install everything manually.
I am not to keen to do this as it took me a long time to configure my Xperia the way I wanted. Besides, other users say this had no effect, their notification light does not work in spite of the factory reset.
I also found that uninstalling McAfee might solve the problem. It did not in my case.
Has anyone experienced the same problem? Have you found a solution?
