No one handed texting for those with small hands

This may seem obvious, but for those thinking about this phone, make sure you check this out in the store.

If you have smaller hands it will be very difficult for one-handed texting, that is, holding the phone in the same hand you're texting with - There's just too much screen to reach across with you thumb

The upside is I can't text while I drive anymore. - Yeah, like some of you have never done that before.

Anyways, just wanted to throw this out there, because while you may look at the phone in the store you may forget to check this out.

YMMV

I firmly disagree with this. I have small hands and i have no issues typing with one hand.

My hands aren't exactly huge, but I don't have any problems with texting. Might be because I use Swiftkey, I dunno. I didn't use the stock keyboard for too long.

The only thing that sucks for me is reaching to the very top left with your thumb for any reason.

I didn't find issue in sending text using one hand, although my hand aren't small nor big. That aside, you shouldn't use the phone at all while driving, that's a major risk.

Okay, I guess it's just me with my little girlie hands. I'm not a girl, I just got little girlie hands.

I have small hands for a man. I dont have a problem. I thought I would. Maybe people who have small hands for a girl may have an issue. Definitely test first.

Yeah, like some of you have never done that before.

I haven't.

There are tons of other keyboards out there you can install if the stock one is not right for you. They come in all shapes and types. Just search on Google play or Amazon or wherever.

I've found that the swype/trace style of typing is easier with one hand on this phone. I definitely can't text one handed unless I'm using it. Funny part is when I have both hands available I hate using the trace style.

I haven't. I had a close colleague who suffered at the hands of a driver who was texting.

One handed doesn't mean driving. I use my phone one handed for hours a day while feeding a baby.

I'm a woman with average size hands (so notably smaller than most men's) and have no problems typing one handed with either hand. I strongly recommend Swype. (The real thing, not Samsung's version.)
