Help No option to change the date

Hello,

I'm trying to change the date of my phone to get back a games restrictions and I don't see any way to change the date to say, tomorrows date?

I've search google and this forum and don't see a way to do this without rooting the phone.

Thanks

Most games that use time restrictions for turns ect call out to a site like google, yahoo, ext to determine the time. I'm not sure if that would work.

But I doubt you could do it without root

well.. this works on my girlfriends android and it works on my iphone, the LG Optimus Elite doesn't even have an option for me to change the date, which is really what I'm trying to accomplish from this thread.

Thanks

The following may or may not work for you.

You could try using the app called ClockSync and turn on the "Override system setting" option, then set the UTC offset to the max +14:00. That should set your phone's date to the following day if the current time of day is late enough (I think 2-6AM in the USA depending on your time zone and DST).

At some point, the system clock will probably automatically sync back to the correct time. So, you may need to watch out for that and then turn off and on the "Override system setting" option to get back to the next-day date.

I hope this helps. I'm not aware of any better options, but maybe others have ideas.
