no option to use saved tones in drop-down menu

When I save a ringtone, I go into message notifications and that tone is not available as an option. Only he preloaded ones are. And I you choose default, it will only allow one type of sound to be used for both text and email. Am I missing something?

Mind telling us how you're doing it? I have a ton of music on my sdcard, but no option to set an mp3 as a ringtone.
