No "Pay to Win", suggestions?

Hey, I have a Galaxy SII. It seems nearly everytime I have downloaded a game to try that is anything at all like "Parallel Kingdoms" (I like that one), all I get is more of those damned "Pay to Win" games, which is what I don't like about Parallel Kingdoms. The games where you can buy coin or other important marketable item in-game, with real cash, just seem broken and really difficult for anyone who decides not to buy in-game value with real cash.
I'm looking for free games that are balanced and fun with similar multi-player online interaction and structure as the game mentioned above. If anyone could toss me some suggestions, I'd greatly appreciate it. I can understand premium Item markets for a free game, but when that market sells stuff that would be game breaking depending on the thickness of your wallet, the game tends to have adjustments made where it's even crappier for the broke guys. Fancy hats and giant dogs to ride on rather than pogo sticks is all well and good.
I am a fan of melee and ranged combat, medieval, steampunk, future tech, scenarios. Factions/guilds, some party based stuff.. but I really don't like the feel of 3D MMORPGs on my phone like you'd have on a computer or x-box cause of the controls, I like the sort of 2D aerial view like in the game mentioned above.
Thanks for the help in advance.

Maybe try Kemco games? The Kemco is company, games are old school jrpg's like first few final fantasies. Especially try Symphony of Eternity and Symphony of the Origin.

Maybe Ingress, it's completely free and also online location based game.

Thanks I'll check it out.. still hoping for more suggestions... Ingress? INGRESS? I %%*&^ Love Ingress! looking for something for when i'm stuck in one spot XD

EDIT: Oh... those are not free... and.. no demos? ...are they even multi-player online?

Oh, I had not seen multi-player stuff :P
No, kemco games are not online games...

Sorry...

Hm, I hate multi-player games, so I know of few...

Maybe Rage of Bahamut, tho it's Trading Card Game.

Pocket Legends is 3D MMORPG, but it's quite simple and easy to play.

Maybe Empire Online, The Infinite Black or The World Of Magic.... All free games...

Also check out this list, you might find something

Can't find Empire Online.. Infinate black and World of Magic are "Pay to Win" from what I can tell, you can buy gold directly in Infinate black.. these are the games I don't want to waste my time downloading and trying, the reason for my having started this thread..

Please READ the original post before you respond. Thanks

How can I explain you this, oh yes... If there is an option to buy something with real money it doesn't mean that it's necessary to complete the game lol.

For example, you have Symphony of The Origins which has in game purchases which can help you complete the game faster, but you don't have to use those items. Also I played World Of Magic, never needed to buy anything, tho I got bored after a while and stopped playing it.

WOW hello? if buying stuff makes you beat the game faster, it is "pay to win" which is what I'm trying to avoid... I never said anything about having to buy things required to play.
BASICALLY "pay to win means that people that are willing to spend money on the game are getting an obvious advantage over players that are not willing or able to pay... if an item is for vanity, then it doesnt give advantage, those kind of premium items are just fine IMO. not hey get "three times as much gold in half the time for 5 bucks for the next 2 days!" kinda BS or buying gold directly.. seriously BREAKING the game!, id rather play single-multiplayer games with lots of cheats and modabilty with friends where everyone gets the bonuses than play a game run by money-hungry monkeys that give you whatever you want when you tip them well.
I highly doubt there is noone out there that agrees with me and I am very surprised that you are the only person I've heard from, while you quite regularly did not follow what I was looking for. I guess I'm gonna have to ditch this thread and start over with fewer details, so that someone will actually READ what it is I'm asking.

@OP: You're looking for a FREE game that was expensive to develop, but doesn't want players to pay?

No such thing.

Why don't you just BUY a game that doesn't do in-game purchases and call it a day?

. The dude was legitimately trying to help you with a pretty much impossible request.

Also, stop being such a jerk to akuta. The dude was legitimately trying to help you with a pretty much impossible request.

I'm asking if there are any out there, and I explained in my first response to please read before responding because the suggestions were obviously not what i was looking for.. and in regard to paying, i said 3 times now, a premium market for cosmetic things is great, a market to purchase things that will give you an advantage is what i'm trying to avoid... why is that so hard to understand? if you don't know a game like that, than you can't help, end of story! no response is better than giving me a bunch of suggestions that repeatedly include the very things i said I didnt want in my first post. theres nothing legitimate about that, noone needs to be a hero here.

all akuta did was give me vodka when all i needed was water, wasting my time.

also i never said i had a problem with buying a game. but thats not what I'm asking for here.

Ok, I would try to explain further, but it's pointless as you too are not reading what I am writing.

I dont want suggestions for games where you can buy stuff to make the game easier or make you beat it faster. That gives people with fat wallets advantage over other players.. end of story.

pretty much screwed. sorry. I haven't found anything worthwhile that doesn't use IAP

I pretty much expected that to be the end game.
see i don't mind IAP, its just finding one where the IAP doesn't give gameplay advantages to people at no limit other than what they are willing to pay.
If all the IAP was cosmetic, it would be fine.

oh well, thanks for the reply :smokingsomb:

Have you tried "Pocket Legends" https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=sts.pl&hl=en

It has IAP's, however you are able to trade and purchase items from other players. I don't know if it fits your style of game. But it's worth checking out. I've played this game and have progressed pretty far without having to purchase anything. I make friends, help people and they will help me back.

Good Luck and most importantly have Fun! It's games not Federal Taxes. :P
