No Pinch-To-Zoom for Maps on Eris

Is Pinch-to-Zoom stock on the google maps app? or is my only option rooting the phone?

I have latest Maps, phone is rooted, and I can't pinch-to-zoom. Running Sense-Able ROM...

Verizon left it out last minute for unknown reasons. It was on the list of features for the 2.1 update for Eris, but they decided to leave it out when people received the OTA.

I actually think it was never there to be left out - Verizon's list of features was just wrong.

To be truly honest, the non-pinch zoom control works just fine for me. I don't miss multi-touch zoom in maps at all, but I realize that's just me.

its just strange that the hero has it and its basically the same phone.
