Help no power control widget...notification disable?

hi,

i see a lot of the reviews of this phone dismiss the notification shade as clunky and overwrought. i'm not going to get into that, but i would like to know what the alternative is to the old standard android power control "notification" toggle.

at night, i turned that off, and would only receive phone calls or texts, but no emails. having multiple accounts that get a lot of spam, that was a nice feature.

is there an easy way to do this with the g2? i don't want to have to go to each account and set them for silent. and i don't want the phone itself set for silent all night.

thanks

Sounds like "Quiet Mode" is what you are looking for. You can use the shortcuts in the notification bar pulldown to get to it and set a schedule (or manually invoke it).

Simply turn off mobile data and don't be on Wifi. You can only receive phone calls and texts as no data is transmitted.

the bummer about that is, i like to listen to my google music play while sleeping. i need to be on wifi. that one "sync" button did that for me. i could sync a playlist, then hit the button. from there, i could only get calls or texts. i'll have to see if there's a workaround somewhere.

thanks

edit: i found it. i can disable auto sync in the accounts. d'oh. :)
