No push email?

Just got the note 2 and wanted to set up all my email on the default email client. But it looks like the most it will check for email is every 15 minutes? Is this right? Why would there be no push option, where it is always checking? Is this in attempt to save the battery? I have the note 2 and the battery is huge.... I would think this would not be a huge drain... ? Tks

Only the GMail app is push. The rest check for new emails at a specific interval.

Some people have their other emails being redirected through their GMail account so they get it pushed to their phone. You can set this up and receive them in the GMail app. You will need to log into you GMail account from a PC to set this up.

Actually, when I get a new yahoo mail message, my phone beeps about 5 seconds after I send the test message... so it looks like the yahoo mail app is push also..

I just checked again and it seems only my Hotmail account supports push because its set to use Exchange Active Sync.

I have the same problem. Using iPower to host my email (POP3/SMTP) and it worked fine up until about two or three weeks ago and now it does not check for nor does it advise me of new incoming emails to my domain at iPower. Just stopped suddenly. Thoughts?
