Help No restart on updating the PRL on the Motion ?

With my Samsung Admire (MetroPCS), after dialing *228 and updating the PRL, the phone automatically restarts.

When updating the PRL on the LG Motion (MetroPCS), it announces and reads the phone has been "activated" (which is not correct, since the phone is already activated), but it does not restart/reboot.

Is this normal behavior ? If so, why is there a difference between the Admire and the Motion ?

Should I purposefully restart the Motion after the PRL is updated ?

When it flashes to the radio it doesn't need a reboot for the OS to get the new signal.
