No Samsung Keyboard or Swype in Samsung Galaxy Note N7000

Hello everyone.
I'm Ahsan and I'm from Pakistan.
I've been trying to find a solution to my problem but I simply cannot find it anywhere.
My father got a Samsung Galaxy Note as a gift from a friend and he was excited to get his first ever touch-screen phone.

It has the following specs:
Model number: GT-N7000
Android Version: 4.1.2
Baseband Version: N7000LXKJ8

The main problem with the device is that it does not have a Samsung Keyboard installed. There seems to be a random Chinese Keyboard installed in the phone. I tried to reset the phone to the factory installed settings but the Chinese keyboard stayed. I think it's a Sogou Pinyin app and it is, somehow, the only available keyboard input method in the phone. If I disable this Chinese software, I can no longer enter words or use the keyboard.
Some of the notifications I receive, too, are sometimes in Chinese. I begin to wonder if this phone is Chinese/Korean made but the cover at the back says its made by Samsung. :/

My question here now is: how do I disable this Chinese keyboard and install the Google keyboard or the default Samsung Keyboard? I believe the Samsung Keyboard should have been in the phone from the start, but it just isn't there. I need help. Thanks.

Have you tried installing the Google / Samsung keyboards using the 'Play Store' app on your phone? I can't quite remember but you may need to set up an account with Google first.

Thanks for replying.

I have tried to install them, but none of them install with the Play Store informing me that my device can not install the specified app. I don't know if it's the location or what, but I have tried everything.

You previously mentioned 2 particular keyboards that you wanted but have you tried some of the others on Google Play - eg Jelly Bean Keyboard, SwiftKey Keyboard, Swype Keyboard Trial?

No, I haven't. But I believe that since this is a Samsung phone, it SHOULD have the default Samsung Keyboard pre-installed, right? Why isn't it installed and why is the Chinese Sogou Pinyin keyboard the only available option to use?
