No Samsung Pay (ugh!) yet (ever?) Verizon Note5

Was so excited re Samsung Pay when I heard was coming on Note 5. Hands-on realized Sunday at Costco .... with NO money or credit cards in my purse but .... NOTE5 in hand, that I "need" alternative option of Samsung Pay on my phone! Contacted Samsung. Their response from today is attached. Not available now on Verizon Note 5 and no news if/when it ever will be. Ugh!

Yeah, I was excited to SP, too. There are plants of other ways to pay by phone like Apple Pay, Android Pay etc. but none of them use a standard retail swipe device meaning that you could use Samsung Pay almost anywhere. I mean, how great is that? Sadly, I got it all set up on my phone when it became available on the 28th only to get a message that Chase is not yet supported. GRAAAAAAAA!!!!!!

I always found with VZW, better to use what's native to the phone. They always claim it's an app we got elsewhere that created a hardware problem and wiping and resetting phone is just awful. Plus .... I want the freebies NOW! ;)
 
Co-GM of Samsung Pay, Will Graylin, says that Verizon subscribers should be able to get the app in “the next week or so.”
 
Terrific news, thanks!! Rhetorical: Wonder if the Samsung freebies for early adopters will be gone by then?? ;)
