Don't you get this option?

Try upgrading to 7.1 stable or the latest nightly, the RC is just a really old nightly build, it probably doesn't have it.

That means loosing all my contacts and apps again :P
Actually updating you don't lose any data!

1. Download the update zip from cyanogen website.
2. Copy to SD card
3. Reboot into recovery with CWM (rom manager or nvflash, rom manager is easier)
4. Optional nandroid backup (recommended)
5. Navigate to advanced > wipe dalvik cache (optional but helps stop boot loops)
6. Clear Cache Partition
7. Install Zip from SD card - select the new cm7 zip

Enjoy :)

:) Just another thing, don't stress if it takes a while to reboot for the first time after the update. As long as it's not sitting there doing a vibrate and repeating for a long time, it's just loading :) Might take up to 5 mins or so. I say this because I thought it was stuck in a boot loop and shat a brick once, nearly gave up but it finally booted :)

Good lord, RC1 is like two months out of date!

When updating, there is no need to wipe any caches, it's automatic as the old cache becomes invalid. The slow first boot is due to the dalvik-cache being rebuilt.

Take your pick, a nightly will have a few new bits/fixes. If you go the nightly route you'll end up with a flashing habit :D

Personally I would take a new nightly over release as there was a lot of changes to the O2X back end in #177.

CyanogenMod nightlies changelog for P990

Just grab it, and flash, no need to wipe anything.
